aac-enc software package provides Fraunhofer FDK AAC Codec Library - frontend binary, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install aac-enc
aac-enc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the aac-enc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep aac-enc *
You will get with aac-enc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
